Richard Sibbes writes an exposition of Matthew's application to Jesus of the description of the Servant of the Lord (Matthew 12:20). This book shows why Sibbes was known among his contemporaries as 'the sweet dropper'.
The original title of this study was "The Excellency of the Gospel about the Law." The new covenant results in spiritual liberty, likeness to Christ and glory by the Holy Spirit.
